The security risks of online car-hailing platforms are huge

Wu Chungeng said that after sorting out and summarizing, the inspection team found that Didi Chuxing and other online car-hailing and ride-hailing platform companies mainly have huge potential public safety problems; ride-hailing products have huge potential safety problems; the foundation of emergency management is weak and inefficient; illegal operation problems Prominent; the main responsibility of production safety is not implemented in place; the integrity of the enterprise platform is seriously lacking; personal information security issues are prominent; social stability risks are prominent; suspected of industrial monopoly and other nine problems.

Wu Chungeng introduced that while the inspection team found problems, it also put forward a series of preliminary suggestions for rectification and handling of the problems. In the next step, the inspection team will submit the inspection report to the inter-ministerial joint meeting for the coordination and supervision of new forms of transportation for deliberation, and guide relevant law enforcement departments to deal with relevant violations of laws and regulations seriously and eliminate potential safety hazards. At the same time, the inspection team will also urge platform companies to strictly rectify problems, strictly implement responsibilities, and rectify problems and hidden dangers in place.

"Difficulty in taking a taxi" exists locally but does not appear in a large area

In September of this year, some online car-hailing platforms suspended online car-hailing and ride-hailing services. In some cities, it was difficult to get a taxi during peak hours or at night, and illegal operations such as black cars and black motorcycles returned.

In response, Wu Chungeng responded that, in addition to the special safety inspection, in order to promote the healthy development of the industry and ensure the safety of passengers, various online car-hailing platform companies are accelerating the compliance process in accordance with relevant requirements, and the supply of compliant transportation capacity is increasing. And gradually replace the "black car" market. The problem of difficulty in getting a taxi in some areas and individual periods still exists, but in general, there is no difficulty in traveling in a large area, and it has not been greatly affected, and the public travel order is normal recently.

Encourage online car-hailing platform companies to increase night capacity

Wu Chungeng said that in response to the difficulty of getting a taxi in some areas, the Ministry of Transport is also guiding local governments to actively take various measures to ensure convenient travel for passengers. The first is to encourage cruise car companies and online car-hailing platform companies to increase capacity guarantees to ensure the supply of capacity at night, especially in densely populated areas such as airports, railway stations, bus passenger stations, and business districts, to meet the needs of the masses. The second is to urge taxi companies to do a good job in driver management, and severely crack down on refusing to take, detouring, picking up customers, and charging indiscriminately. Once again, it is to guide urban public transport companies to increase the frequency of departures, extend the operating hours, and reasonably open night buses. The last is to crack down on illegal operations and maintain the order of fair competition in the market.
